Made to order piece crafted by l’Atelier François Pouenat
All brass mirror, in two finishes
Villa Noailles, France, June 2026

This sun mirror, created in collaboration with the Atelier François Pouenat , reinterprets the style of the radiating ‘witch’s eye’ mirror, which has been very much in vogue since the beginning of the last century. Whilst such mirrors were once believed to possess magical properties linked to their optical qualities, here the ‘eye’ is flattened, revealing another form of magic: that of the material itself, made possible by the technical virtuosity of the Atelier’s metalworkers.

The golden disc appears to float, set within a rippling halo like a reptilian sun, reflecting the warm and soft light of the south of the south of France.
